We are Víctor and Esther, born in Granollers, Barcelona, yet with a life full of travel and experiences around the world. Despite having lived abroad, we have never lost the connection with our country. On the contrary: living abroad has made us love our culture, gastronomy and the richness of the territory even more. We are social people, we like to enjoy life, experiment, get out of our comfort zone. We are bold and entrepreneurial by nature.
What we value most is sharing – moments, conversations, meals… always around a table with family and friends. For us, sharing is life.
When we returned after a few years abroad, we wished to create a space with the soul of a home: warm, welcoming, designed for complicit meetings, especially around food. A place for people like us, who seek to live and share authentic moments, located where we consider our home: Granollers, near Barcelona.
And this space couldn’t be just any space. It had to have character, soul, truth. That’s why we chose HArquitectes.
We are both demanding: we like simple things, but well done. Such as the building we have created —honest, without artifice, with noble materials— just as we understand life.
We offer a gastronomic, architectural and cultural alternative with its own identity. ésdevé seeks to become a reference for those looking for a space with personality, design and signature cuisine in the Vallès Oriental region, outside Barcelona. We want to position Granollers on the map as a destination for unique, exclusive and quality experiences.
ésdevé is more than just a name; it is action, movement, transformation. We link it to the Catalan verb “esdevenir” (“to become”), as things happen at ésdevé, changes take place. A space that is not static, but alive, liquid, on the move, as the events that take place in it. In addition the name hides some personal roots: “ve”, the initials of its founders, Víctor and Esther. The name says it all: “és de ve” (“it belongs to VE”). Furthermore, it contains the ve-letter, the letter that pays homage to the iconic shape of the building. ésdevé is what happens when things make sense. When gastronomy, architecture and culture converge on the same space and create unique and multidisciplinary experiences.
